Emergency Management
Ready when it matters most
We plan, train and coordinate with local partners so we can respond quickly and safely if an emergency happens—helping to protect people, the environment and property.
Program overview
Our Emergency Management Program follows the Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle to support continuous improvement. We regularly review the program with senior business unit leaders to confirm it remains effective and aligned with our operational needs.
Our approach is built on four pillars.
The four pillars of emergency management
Mitigation and prevention
Preparedness
We build readiness through planning, training and exercises, and we use lessons learned to strengthen coordination and response.
Response
When an incident occurs, we activate plans and coordinate people, equipment and resources to manage the hazard and its immediate impacts, in line with our emergency procedures.
Recovery
After an emergency, we restore the affected area to pre-incident (or better) conditions, replenish resources and review performance to drive continuous improvement.
We develop, implement and maintain emergency management programs to help protect workers and the public, the environment or property.
Our emergency management programs include the following key elements and resources.
