Steven W. Nance
Texas, U.S.

Since 2007, Mr. Nance has also provided consulting services on matters such as oil and gas investments, succession planning, coaching and leadership development.
He began his career in 1978 as an engineer with The Superior Oil Company. His business experience includes acting as director for Cloud Peak Energy, Inc., The Williams Companies, Inc. and Newfield Exploration Company from 2013 to 2019, when it was acquired by Ovintiv.
Mr. Nance has held the position of president and manager with Steele Creek Energy, LLC, a private oil and gas investment company, since 2010. His prior experience includes various positions with Meridian Oil, Inc., the predecessor company to Burlington Resources, Inc., where he held positions of increasing responsibility from 1985 and until his departure in 1997 as vice president of Burlington’s Gulf Coast division.
Mr. Nance served as president, chairman and chief executive officer for XPLOR Energy and its predecessor company from 1997 to 1999. When XPLOR Energy was acquired by Harken Energy Corporation in 1999, he held the position of president for Peoples Energy Production Company from 2000 to 2007, until it was acquired by El Paso Corporation.
Sippy Chhina

Ms. Chhina is a former Partner with Deloitte Canada LLP, a multinational professional services network, and held various roles within the firm since 2006. In addition to her client responsibilities, she also served as a member on the Board of Deloitte Canada and as Vice Chair. Prior to joining Deloitte Canada, Ms. Chhina served in roles of increasing responsibility with BDO LLP, including Partner from 1999 to 2006.
Currently, Ms. Chhina serves as a Director and Treasurer for Board Ready Women, a Calgary-based organization that supports women in obtaining board positions and has served in various past governance roles with the Mount Royal University Foundation and the Calgary Petroleum Club.
Originally from India, Ms. Chhina immigrated to Canada in 1985, is a Chartered Professional Accountant and has her ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.
Meg A. Gentle

Ms. Gentle currently serves as Executive Director of HIF USA, LLC, a decarbonization company developing large scale infrastructure to produce carbon-neutral eFuels from renewable energy. Ms. Gentle served as president and chief executive officer of Tellurian Inc. and a member of its board of directors from 2016 through November 2020. She previously served as executive vice president-marketing at Cheniere Energy, Inc. While there, she also held numerous leadership positions including senior vice president-marketing; senior vice president and chief financial officer; and senior vice president-strategic planning & finance.
Prior to Cheniere, Ms. Gentle conducted international business development and strategic planning for Anadarko Petroleum Corporation and energy market analysis for Pace Global Energy Services.
Greg P. Hill

With over 40 years of experience in the energy industry, Mr. Hill brings a distinguished track record of technical expertise, operational leadership, strategic implementation, and value creation to Ovintiv’s board. His depth of experience in leading diverse portfolios and driving safety culture excellence provides significant insight and enhances long‑term shareholder value.
Over the course of Mr. Hill’s career, he has held senior and executive-level leadership roles at Hess, Shell, Aera Energy, and other organizations, leading major global portfolios across North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, and the Middle East. Most recently, Mr. Hill served as President, Worldwide Exploration & Production and Executive Vice President of Hess Corporation, where he led the company’s significant portfolio transformation, operational excellence initiatives, and major growth in key regions including Guyana, the Bakken, and the Gulf of America, until his retirement in 2025.
Currently, Mr. Hill serves as a board member for the WYldlife Fund—a Wyoming-based wildlife conservation fund. He is also a board member and Chair Emeritus of the University of Wyoming Foundation Board and a distinguished lecturer on leadership at the MIT Sloan School of Management.
Mr. Hill holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (with honors) from the University of Wyoming and received an Honorary Doctorate from the university in 2024.
Ralph Izzo

Mr. Izzo currently serves as the Executive Chair of Public Service Enterprise Group Incorporated (PSEG), having recently retired as their President and CEO. PSEG is a publicly traded, diversified energy holding company with a long history of providing infrastructure to access clean, safe, affordable and reliable energy to New Jersey and Long Island. Since joining PSEG in 1992, Mr. Izzo has held several executive positions within the PSEG family of companies. Mr. Izzo also serves on the Board of Directors of the Bank of New York Mellon.
Mr. Izzo is a member of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Fusion Energy Sciences Advisory Committee and the former chair of the Nuclear Energy Institute. He is also on the Board of Directors for the Edison Electric Institute, Nuclear Electric Insurance Limited, the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce, the Liberty Science Center and the New Jersey Performing Arts Center.
Mr. Izzo received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in mechanical engineering and his Doctor of Philosophy degree in applied physics from Columbia University. He also received a Master of Business Administration degree, with a concentration in finance, from the Rutgers Graduate School of Management.
Terri G. King

In roles such as President Lower 48, President Europe and North Africa, and President United Kingdom, Ms. King’s track record of technology adoption and optimization created transformative step changes in safe execution, reliability, environmental performance, and profitability. She has also led teams responsible for developing and selecting global leadership, including executive succession planning.
Ms. King built a reputation as a leader with a keen sense to assess opportunity, create buy-in across the organization and lead positive change. Her distinctive results include value-enhancing breakthroughs in development strategies, modernization of midstream development approaches, and the design and implementation of a new health, safety and environmental management system mapping quantitative milestones to further reduce emissions.
Ms. King is a licensed Professional Engineer and a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers. She is active in public universities in both building a new strategy for athletics and lecturing on business and energy-related topics at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
Howard J. Mayson

Mr. Mayson is a corporate director and an independent businessman, with experience that includes serving as an advisory board member and part-time operating partner with Azimuth Capital Management LLC since 2014. He has held various senior leadership roles with BP Exploration & Production, PLC, including chief executive officer of BP Russia, president of BP Angola, director of BP’s Exploration & Production Technology Group and leader of BP’s Global Subsurface Function.
Prior to joining BP, Mr. Mayson was an engineer with Schlumberger Limited from 1977 to 1981 and a non-executive director of several private U.K. and North American energy-related companies from 2010 to present.
Brendan M. McCracken

Mr. McCracken was appointed chief executive officer effective August 1, 2021, after being named president in December 2020. He has held several diverse senior leadership positions at Ovintiv including the role of executive vice president of corporate development and external affairs, vice president and general manager of Canadian operations and vice president of investor relations.
Mr. McCracken is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta. He is active in several organizations including the American Petroleum Institute Upstream Committee and the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers.
Mr. McCracken graduated from Queen’s University with a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering and from the University of Oxford with a master of business administration.
George Pita

From 2013 until his retirement in 2023, Mr. Pita served as the executive vice president and chief financial officer of MasTec Inc., a North American infrastructure construction company with service offerings including telecommunications, energy pipelines, electrical transmission and clean energy infrastructure.
Before joining MasTec, Mr. Pita served in various leadership positions in the consumer products industry, including CFO and executive vice president for Stuart Weitzman Holdings LLC, as well as CFO for Perry Ellis International and Sunglass Hut International. Mr. Pita began his career at Arthur Andersen after graduating from the University of Miami. He was a licensed CPA for over 30 years, and is an active member of the NACD Audit Committee Leader Exchange and the Latino Corporate Directors Association.
Brian G. Shaw

Mr. Shaw brings unique knowledge as a financial services executive, in addition to his energy, oil and natural gas experience, to his role as a member of the board. His business experience includes several board memberships, including director for NuVista Energy Ltd.; Manulife Bank of Canada; Manulife Trust Company; Lakeview Mortgage Funding Inc.; and PrairieSky Royalty Ltd., a public oil and gas company, from April 2014 until December 2014.
Mr. Shaw served as chairman and chief executive officer for CIBC World Markets Inc. from 2005 through 2008.
Thomas G. Ricks

He brings more than 30 years of experience in various domestic and international finance positions in the oil and gas and financial industries, providing him with extensive investment and financial knowledge, as well as accounting and audit expertise.
Mr. Ricks held the position of chief executive office for The University of Texas Investment Management Company; vice chancellor, asset management for The University of Texas System; and as executive director of Finance and Private Investments.
Board of Directors Mandate and Selection
The fundamental responsibility of the board of directors is to appoint a competent senior management team and to oversee the management of the business, with a view to maximizing shareholder value and ensuring corporate conduct in an ethical and legal manner via an appropriate system of corporate governance and internal controls.
